gokc Is Growing: We're Now Accepting Clients at Our New Northland Office
Therapy in the Kansas City Northland — closer to home for Parkville, Liberty, Gladstone, North Kansas City, Briarcliffe, and Wyandotte County residents
Something we've heard for years from people north of the river is a version of the same quiet frustration: "I've been thinking about therapy, but the drive down to Brookside or Lee's Summit is just one more reason to put it off."
We hear that. And we've done something about it.
gokc Healing Center is proud to announce the opening of our third location — a dedicated therapy office in the Kansas City Northland. We are now accepting new clients at 7505 NW Tiffany Springs Parkway, Suite 510, Kansas City, MO. This is an intentional expansion in the northland with experienced, deeply caring therapists available to see you in person, right here near your home!

Why the Northland — and Why Now
The Kansas City metro is massive, and the Northland has long been underserved when it comes to quality mental health care. For residents of Parkville, Liberty, Gladstone, North Kansas City, the Briarcliffe neighborhood, and nearby Wyandotte County in Kansas, finding a skilled, specialized therapist nearby has historically meant a long commute — and for a lot of people, that commute becomes the final barrier between thinking about therapy and actually starting it.
At gokc, we've always believed that healing should be accessible. Our Brookside location has been home base since we opened, and our Lee's Summit office brought that same warmth and clinical depth to the Southland. The Northland has been part of the vision for a long time. We're glad that moment is finally here.
This expansion also reflects something we care deeply about at gokc: therapy should feel like it belongs to your life, not like a detour out of it. Whether you live in Liberty, commute through North Kansas City, or are tucked into a quiet neighborhood in Parkville or Gladstone, your mental health care should be within reach. Our Tiffany Springs office is conveniently located near major corridors, making it genuinely easy to get to — before work, after school pickup, or during a midday break.
Who Is Waiting for You at the Northland Office
A new office is only as good as the people inside it. At the Northland, you'll find two therapists who bring something honest, skilled, and genuinely human to this work — Rose Cadden and Robin Castillo.
Rose Cadden, LMSW — Trauma Therapist & Co-Occurring Addiction Specialist
Certified in Traumatic Stress · Somatic Trauma Therapy · Addiction Counseling
In-Person: Northland & Brookside · Telehealth: Missouri · Private Pay
If you've been carrying something heavy for a long time — managing it quietly, coping in ways that used to work but don't really anymore — Rose is someone worth talking to.
Rose specializes in trauma recovery and addiction counseling, and she works with a particular kind of client: capable, outwardly functional adults who are internally exhausted. Maybe you've been managing substance use alongside unresolved stress or painful memories. Maybe you've tried to outwork the anxiety, stay busy enough not to feel it, or convince yourself it's not "bad enough" to need help. Rose knows that story well — and she doesn't need you to have it all figured out before you walk in the door.
What makes Rose's approach distinctive is that she treats trauma and addiction not as separate issues, but as deeply connected ones. Substance use often begins as a nervous system response to pain — a way to quiet what feels too loud. Rose works with that understanding at the center of everything she does. She is certified in Traumatic Stress and Somatic Trauma Therapy, which means she doesn't only help you understand your story intellectually. She helps your body learn that it is safe again. That is a different kind of healing — and for many people, it's the kind that finally sticks.
"If you've tried therapy before and felt like you were just talking in circles, Rose's integrative, body-based approach may feel different. The work is about building stability first — then healing from there."
Rose is also a thoughtful partner for healthcare professionals across the Kansas City metro — physicians, nurses, social workers, and others in helping roles — who are navigating the weight of their own profession while quietly struggling with burnout, trauma, or substance use. She offers coordinated, communicative care that complements psychiatric and primary care treatment when appropriate.
Rose is currently accepting new clients and sees clients at both our Northland and Brookside locations, as well as via telehealth across Missouri. She works with adults in Kansas City, Parkville, Gladstone, Liberty, North Kansas City, and surrounding communities. Rose is a private pay therapist — contact us to learn about rates and superbill options for out-of-network reimbursement.
Robin Castillo, PLPC — Midlife Women's Therapist & Affirming Care for Transgender & Gender-Expansive Adults
Midlife Transitions · Identity & Self-Discovery · Transgender Affirming
In-Person: Northland & Brookside · Telehealth: Missouri · Private Pay
If you've been showing up for everyone else for years — your kids, your partner, your job, your family — and you've started to quietly wonder when is it my turn, Robin gets it. Not as a clinical abstraction. Because she's in this chapter of life herself.
Robin works primarily with adults 30 and older, with a particular focus on women navigating midlife transitions. That can look like a lot of different things: a marriage that has shifted, an identity that feels hard to name, a career that no longer fits, kids who've left home and left a strange silence behind them, or simply the slow accumulation of years of putting yourself last. Whatever brought you to the edge of reaching out, Robin offers something rare — a therapist who is warm, unhurried, and genuinely collaborative. Her clients often describe the experience of feeling truly met, not managed.
Robin also provides foundational, affirming care for transgender and gender-expansive adults. This is not an add-on for her. It is a core part of her commitment as a therapist. For LGBTQ+ individuals in the Northland — historically a harder area to find truly affirming mental health support — Robin's presence at the Tiffany Springs office matters. You shouldn't have to drive across the city to find a therapist who will see and honor who you are.
Robin's areas of focus include:
- Midlife women's therapy and life transitions
- Identity and self-discovery
- Transgender and gender-expansive affirming care
- Anxiety and burnout
- Relationship changes
"You've spent years showing up for everyone else. This is a space where you finally get to show up for you."
Robin is a private pay therapist and is currently accepting new clients at the Northland and Brookside offices — serving residents of Parkville, Gladstone, Liberty, North Kansas City, the Briarcliffe neighborhood, and throughout the greater KC metro. Telehealth sessions across Missouri are also available.
Therapy in the Northland: What You Can Expect at gokc
If you've never been to therapy before, or if past therapy experiences have left you skeptical, we want you to know something important: gokc is not a cold, clinical space. We don't believe healing happens in sterile rooms with fluorescent lighting and clipboard checklists. We believe it happens in relationships — in moments when you feel genuinely seen and safe enough to be honest about what's going on.
That's the environment we work to create, and it's what our therapists bring to every session. You will be met with warmth and without judgment. You will move at a pace that feels right for you. And you will work with someone who is not just trained to help — but who genuinely cares about your life getting better.
gokc therapists also operate from a nature-informed perspective — a belief that human beings heal better when they feel connected to something larger than their problems. That philosophy shows up in the texture of our work, in our willingness to slow down, and in our commitment to the kind of care that builds something lasting rather than just managing symptoms.
Serving the Kansas City Northland and Surrounding Communities
Our Tiffany Springs location was chosen specifically to serve the communities north of the river — an area that has long deserved better access to quality mental health care. If you live in any of the following communities, gokc's Northland office is now your closest option for the kind of deep, compassionate, evidence-based therapy we offer across all three of our locations:
- Parkville, MO
- Liberty, MO
- Gladstone, MO
- North Kansas City, MO
- Briarcliffe neighborhood, KC
- Riverside, MO
- Platte City, MO
- Smithville, MO
- Wyandotte County, KS
- Kansas City, KS
- Bonner Springs, KS
We also continue to offer telehealth therapy for Missouri and Kansas residents who prefer virtual sessions — so if getting to the office isn't always possible, we can still meet you where you are. If you have questions about payment options or superbill reimbursement through your insurance, give us a call — we're happy to help you think it through.
Not Sure Who to Work With? We've Got You.
Choosing a therapist is personal. It's not just about credentials or specialty — it's about fit. And finding that fit matters more than most people realize. At gokc, we've built a Therapist Match Maker on our website specifically to help you figure out who might be the right person for you. Answer three simple questions and it will point you in a direction. Or, call us and we'll talk it through together. A free 15-minute consultation is always available — no commitment, no pressure, just a real conversation.
We also want you to know that gokc is a fully inclusive practice. LGBTQ+ individuals, BIPOC clients, people navigating complex identities and life circumstances — this is a place built for the full spectrum of human experience. You don't have to shrink yourself to fit here. You just have to be willing to start.
