Hi I’m Lisa Hoang, MSW - New Therapist at gokc

There is no true right way, only what feels right for you.

That’s a core belief I carry into every therapy session. Healing doesn’t follow a neat checklist—it’s messy, personal, and deeply human. If you’ve found your way here, maybe you’re navigating your own version of that mess and maybe you’re looking for a place where you don’t have to figure it all out alone.

Who I Work With

I work with folks who are carrying more than they let on. People who feel too much, too sensitive, or like they’ve never quite fit the mold.

Many of my clients are:

LGBTQAI+ individuals exploring identity and belonging

● Second-generation immigrants balancing cultural expectations with personal truth

● People healing from trauma, anxiety, depression, or generational pain

● Individuals grieving ambiguous losses like family disconnection, cultural erasure, or a version of themselves that never got to exist

If any of that resonates with you: you’re not broken, and you’re definitely not alone!

My Approach

As a queer, second-generation Vietnamese American therapist trained in EMDR, I understand how complex healing can be, especially when your identity is layered, intersectional, and historically marginalized. Therapy with me isn’t about “fixing” you. It’s about creating space to explore what’s been heavy, what’s been hidden, and what needs to be honored. I bring honesty, warmth, and humor into the room because I believe in meeting people where they are, not where they’re expected to be.

What You Can Expect

I offer a space that is affirming, collaborative, and trauma-informed. Together, we’ll slow down and tune into what feels right for you. Whether that means diving into generational wounds, processing past trauma with EMDR, or simply surviving the stress of everyday life, I’m here to support your process.

No masks. No judgment. Just space to be fully and unapologetically yourself.
